Fine Art Reproductions
Of the Great American West

Since the Renaissance wood engraving and sixteenth century Mezzotints and Aquatints, art reproductions in the form of prints have brought the world of fine art images to millions of people. They have added an extra dimension of beauty and pleasure to their private world. These prints gained wide recognition for an artist's work and were largely responsible for the influence of their works on others for many generations. In recent years, special cameras, laser scanning and accuracy of color control in printing has made possible the faithful and valued replication of original art. Individual collectors from all walks of life enjoy adorning their walls with selections of quality fine art reproductions. Many corporations, schools, libraries, museums and other institutes accumulate print collections.

The FRED LUCAS editions of collector prints are produced under exacting and controlled standards of printing with the finest inks and acid-free paper stocks. The large size art prints are all professionally printed from original oil paintings by the artist. Each image is produced with mechanical press lithography. Both the limited edition and open edition print images are printed on premium quality acid-free 100% rag paper stock. The inks used are the best non-fading type available. The limited edition collector prints are individually autographed and numbered by the artist. Each print image has a hand-written number like 250/700. The first number is the print number. The second is the total number of prints which were issued in the edition. No additional prints of this image are ever issued. The open edition prints are neither autographed or numbered because the edition is not limited to one printing. However, the printings are the same premium product quality as the limited edition prints. The 8" x 10" and 11" x 14" matted prints are produced by laser scanning and printing from transparency film of the larger original oil paintings. These images are printed with exceptionally high non-fading color on 100 lb. quality paper stock. The prints are open edition and double-matted by a professional framer using the museum-mounting technique .
