Story: Ferocious raiders poise to swoop silently through
shadows from a desert wilderness vantage in the Rincon foothills to
ambush unwary prey - a government wagon train traveling the Old Spanish
Trail near Tucson, Arizona. Blood tested Chiricahua; most feared
of the Apache bands; born and reared to battle and survive amidst
hostile, torturous environments, they were masters of stealth, surprise
and flight. This painting depicts the actual site where Apaches
once attacked a government supply train. |
